v2.7.2
Event Filters: Select Categories with One Click
You can now select or clear entire event categories in the Event filters.
Click a category checkbox to select all events in that category. If a category is selected partially (some events checked, some unchecked), clicking the category checkbox will clear the entire category.
👤 Better User Mentions
User mentions now display the full user name.
Previously, names were often truncated when there wasn't enough space available.
🔐 Smarter Access Redirects
Users with access to specific POIs are now automatically redirected to a POI they can access after login.
📋 Event Visibility Improvements in Core View
In Core View, disabling an event tag now only affects whether the POI is displayed on the replica.
Event content itself remains visible in the POI Panel, as intended. This keeps filtering behavior consistent and predictable.
v2.7.1
Digital model zoom controls
Navigate your digital workspace more easily. All types of replicas now have consistent controls - allowing you to zoom in towards a location with by double-clicking, and zooming out with a double right-click! Try it out yourself!
Bugfixes and improvements
A small bugfix was released so the title of an event teaser will now correctly wrap instead of overlapping with other header elements.
Internally, we have improved the efficiency and speed of our DevOps pipelines, reducing times by 30-50%; Neat!

v2.6.0
What’s new
🎥 Smarter Camera Controls
Navigate replicas more naturally. We’ve improved camera behavior across 3D replicas for a smoother and more intuitive experience. Note: In some cases, the camera may still not respond to a double‑click; we’re investigating and will continue improving this behavior.
Double-clicking an object now:
centers the camera on it
smoothly zooms in
Additional double-clicks continue zooming closer to the selected object
Mouse‑wheel zooming is now significantly smoother
📍 Better POI Creation in Point Editor
Create points exactly where you’re working. When creating a new POI in the Point Editor, the point is now automatically placed in the center of your current camera view. Previously, new POIs were always created at the scene’s zero point.
👁️ Improved “Show All Markers” Behavior
More predictable marker visibility in Core View when Show All Markers is enabled.
Individual markers can no longer be hidden using the “eye” button while this mode is active
The visibility toggle becomes locked to prevent conflicting states
Result: A more consistent and understandable marker experience.
🧭 Core View Only Mode
We’ve taken the final step away from legacy views.
A new “Core View Only” setting is now available in Organization Settings.
When enabled, legacy views such as:
Events
Data
HSEQ
are hidden from the menu.
Why? Because Core View now fully replaces their functionality in a single unified experience.
Cleaner navigation. Simpler workflows. ✨

Display sensor or IoT data streams
📊 Smarter Chart Widget
One widget. All the context.
We’ve combined Duty Cycle and Bar Chart into a single, more powerful widget — now with full shift awareness.
What’s new:
Automatically detects if shifts are configured for a POI
Adapts display: hours or percentages
Indicates whether data is shown with or without shifts
Shift-based view is enabled by default (can be turned off)
v2.4.2
✨ Meet the New Text Widget
Instantly understand what’s happening—no need to interpret numbers.
Introducing the Text Widget — a new way to display what matters, in a way that’s instantly clear.
Unlike traditional widgets that focus on metrics, the Text Widget lets you show meaningful text.
🔹 What can it do?
Display machine states like On, Off, Idle—or any custom status you define.
Show raw production data in a clear, readable format (e.g., “120 units produced”).
Turn complex data into simple messages.
💡 Use cases
“Machine is running normally”
“Line stopped due to maintenance”
“Batch completed: 500 units produced”
“Waiting for input material”
💡 More clarity. Less interpretation.
Because sometimes, the best insight… is just seeing it written out.
Dynamic POI Allocation for Infoscreen
We’ve added a new dynamic allocation setting to Info Screen configuration, making it easier to navigate events on large replicas.
Turn it on, and every POI is automatically assigned a simple location code based on its position — from top-left to bottom-right. Events are now easier to scan, and naturally mapped to their location.

v2.4.1
Smarter, Cleaner, More Predictable Core
We’ve made several improvements to make Core easier to use and more reliable in everyday work.
🔍 Active filters (date and search) are now easy to see and understand.
You can also save them into Custom Views for quick access.
⚙️ Enhanced Custom View Experience
Based on user feedback, we improved how Custom Views work:
When switching from a Custom View back to Core View, filters reset to default
(events for the last 1 month, Exclude shifts)Clicking the logo returns you to Core View with default settings
If multiple users are using the same Custom View and one of them updates it:
Other users will see a Reset button
Clicking it applies the latest version
If not clicked, users continue working with their current version until they switch views
v2.4.0
✨ Custom Views — focus, faster
You asked. We delivered.
Meet Custom Views in Core View — a smarter way to keep your filters exactly how you like them. Set them once, reuse them anywhere, and stop rebuilding the same view over and over.
🎯 What’s new
Save filter setups as reusable views
Automatically apply them across replicas
Keep your context while navigating
Share views with your team
⚙️ How it works
Create a Custom View in Settings
Configure your filters (Events, Data, HSEQ)
Make it visible in Core View
Select it anytime — it just works
Your filters stay active as you move.
Set it once — and let the system do the rest.
📺 Infoscreen Update
You can now sort events on panels in Infoscreen.
Quickly organize what matters most — and keep your screens clear and focused.

HWGroup device
Support for the HWGroup temperature device has been implemented. The previous RabbitMQ handler was recreated as an Azure Function and integrated into the pipeline, making the device data available in Genius Core.
Infoscreen
The authentication issue for Infoscreen has been fixed. It now works smoothly for both single and group infoscreens.
v2.3.6
⚡Event Icons for Faster Recognition
Events just got more visual! You can now add icons to event cards to make them easier to recognize at a glance.
🔹 Why it helps
Each filter value can now have its own icon, making filtered events easier to identify directly on the event card.
A small visual touch that makes navigating events faster and more intuitive. 🚀
🔥Infoscreen improvements:
🔢 Accurate Event Counters
Event counters on panels now show the exact number of events currently displayed, ensuring the numbers always match what you see.
📊 Clearer Panel Information
We’ve improved how panels communicate their data source:
If a panel is showing Summary data, it will now be clearly indicated in the header.
If the source POI has been deleted, the Infoscreen will notify you.
The status banner (ON/OFF) will now appear only when the panel displays production data, keeping the interface cleaner and more relevant.

Logging in just got a glow-up ✨
We’ve refreshed the login page design to make it look cleaner. A better first impression.
Every single time you sign in. 🚀
🎯 Clearer Focus with Improved Marker Highlighting
Finding the right point just got easier.
We’ve enhanced how selected markers appear on the map. Now, when you choose a marker, it will be highlighted with a clean blue outline, making it stand out clearly from the rest.
🔍 Better Visibility on Expanded Markers
We’ve increased the text size of measurements on the expanded marker view, making values easier to read at a glance. 📊
Clearer numbers.
Better focus.
🔢 Event Count Is Back in Core View
We’ve restored the display of the nmber of events on the POI marker in Core view.
This value, coming from the Event Count widget, was accidentally missing — and now it’s back where it belongs. 🙌
🚀 Moving Beyond the Data Tab
We’re gradually moving away from the legacy Data Tab and bringing its full functionality directly into Core View.
Now, in Core View, you can see all measurement values for all markers — everything that was previously available in the Data Tab is now fully replicated here.
✨ One view. Core View is becoming your single, powerful control center.
v2.3.3(a)
Improved POI metadata for integrations
Integration handlers are now provided with more information about the relevant POIs to more efficiently query and group the integrated data.
IdP-only login flow configurations
The authentication service can now be configured for IdP-only login flows, allowing deployments to be purely based on Single Sign-on, centralizing user management even more.
January 2026
v2.3.2
Layout improvements and widget configuration validation fixes
Version 2.3.2 brings two small adjustments. Firstly, the left panel expand button is now always visible even when the main content panel is expanded. Secondly, we addressed some validation issues introduced in version 2.3.1 in the POI panels line chart widget configuration. Now the validation for the line chart widget will pass in an expected manner.
v2.3.1
Hierarchical select improvements
Our new performance optimized hierarchical select component is now utilized in the UI. Users should find this component familiar to use but under the hood this component lazy loads parts of the hierarchy. This should yield big performance benefits to tenants with large hierarchies and allow them to work with the hierarchy more effectively.
Improvements on tenant root POI selection
The tenant root POI selection form has had some user experience related improvements and terminology consistency improvements
December 2025
v2.3.0
Event quick actions
Start and complete work quickly in the event form! With the new quick-action button, a single click will update the event’s status to “in progress” and set the starting time. After finishing the tasks, another click will set the event’s status to “complete”, update the end time and checking any remaining open tasks.
Automated organization access through Single sign-on
Users coming in through our Single-sign on (e.g. Microsoft 365 accounts) can now be automatically granted access to specified Genius Core organizations.
With this feature, it is no longer needed to manually invite each of your colleagues to your Genius Core organization, instead the system can automatically grant this access based on the domain name of the user’s email. For example all users from “@processgenius.fi” can automatically access our internal demo-organization from now on! Combined with automated role assignment based on the SSO-claims, access control is put firmly into your own hands.
Bugfixes
As always there have been some bugs to squash. The main ones this time are:
Missing data widgets in the Core view have now reappeared. Behaviour is consistent with the legacy Data view
Resolved an edge case where a Terms and Conditions configuration could interfere with the Single Sign-on process
November 2025
v2.2.0
Feature flags per organization
The Genius Core™ platform now supports feature flags per organization.
Infoscreens is the first additional feature that makes use of this. Organizations with the feature enabled will now be able to access the settings through the UI, and organizations that do not have it will be guided to contact our service desk for more information!
Terms and conditions link
Each Genius Core™ deployment can now have an (optional) terms and condition link configured, which will be presented to users on the login page. This allows us and our enterprise partners to inform users better.
Core view events table fixes
Several bugfixes were implemented for the Core view’s event table. The default sort is applied and indicated correctly, the pager is aware of how many events there are and in the table header it is clearly shown which POI’s events are displayed.
v2.1.0
New month, new GC features!
Expanded point of interest markers
Point of interest markers now have the ability to display more information without opening the point of interest panel. With this feature you can build more information rich overviews to display more information without requiring user interaction.
This feature is available via the view settings button on the bottom right of the replica viewer. Just click on the “Expanded markers” toggle to make markers larger. With this setting you can also control what data you can see in the marker.
