Custom Views in Core View
Custom Views allow you to create reusable filter configurations for Core View. These filters can be applied across any replica and remain active as you navigate between them.
Custom Views help teams quickly access the information relevant to their work.
Example Use Cases
Custom Views can be configured for different workflows, such as:
Maintenance teams – display machines that require servicing.
Energy monitoring – show electricity consumption data.
HSEQ teams – monitor safety events and incidents.
Operations – focus on active systems and operational alerts.
Supervisors – track specific locations or equipment.
Custom Views are typically created by users with the appropriate permissions and shared across the organization.
Creating a Custom View
1. Create the view
Go to Settings → Custom Views and create a new view.
Provide:
Name
Description
Icon
The icon helps distinguish the view in the Core View menu.
2. Configure filters
In Configuration Settings, click Configure view.
You will be redirected to a replica where you can configure filters.
Only filter settings are saved in a Custom View. Other changes (for example PoI lists) are not stored.
Configure filters for:
Events
Data
HSEQ
You can also configure display options:
Show portals
Show all markers
Show names in markers
Expanded markers
Filters highlighted by the system will be saved. Greyed-out filters will not be stored.
Save the configuration when finished.
The Custom View status will change to Layout, filters and data configured.
3. Make the view visible
Choose whether the Custom View should appear in the Core View menu and save the settings.
Using Custom Views
Open Core View and select a Custom View from the Custom Views section.
The configured filters will be applied automatically and remain active as you switch between replicas.
The default Core View remains unchanged.
Updating Filters
If you modify filters while using a Custom View:
Reset restores the original configuration.
Update saves the current filters to the Custom View.
Updating a Custom View will affect all users who use it.
You can also save the current filter configuration as a new Custom View directly from Core View.
Custom Views make it easier for teams to focus on the data that matters most, reduce manual filter setup, and create a consistent experience across roles and workflows.
Set them up once — and let the system do the rest.
