What is a Replica?
A Replica is a visual representation of a real-world location or object in 3D Digital. It can be a floor plan, a 3D model of a factory, or even a world map.
Types of Replica
Type | What it is | Best for |
|---|
Type | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
2D Image | A flat image — floor plan, diagram, or schematic | Simple layouts, quick orientation |
3D Model | An interactive 3D model (.glb) | Detailed equipment, buildings, production lines |
Map | Google Maps integration | Global overview |
You never open a Replica directly — you open a Point of Interest (PoI), and the associated Replica loads automatically.
Markers and Points of Interest
On a Replica, business information is displayed through markers. Each marker is tied to a Point of Interest (PoI) — a machine, a room, an area, or any object you want to track.
Points of Interest are organized in a hierarchy: Site Building Floor Area Asset. Clicking a marker can open a nested Replica deeper in this hierarchy.
Navigation
Pan, rotate, zoom use your mouse to explore the Replica from any angle. See the video instructions below.
Custom camera positions: save specific viewpoints in the Point Editor, so the Replica always opens from the angle you need.
