POI markers

POI markers

This content is archived.

POI markers are visual indicators placed on a Replica. They show key information — name, events, production data, safety icons, and more — directly on the map, without opening the POI panel.

Interaction with Replicas occurs through Points and from Markers. From the markers you can get information about the name of the Point, the number of events, the duty cycle, and so on. Next, we will explore what the markers mean in each case.

What a Marker Shows

Every marker is a configurable component. What it displays depends on the widgets configured in the POI Panel (Data tab) and the View settings (right side panel).

By default, a marker shows:

  • POI name

  • Event count — the number of active events for this POI

  • Machine state — duty cycle percentage and ON/OFF status (if configured)

With widget configuration, a marker can also display:

  • Bar chart values (e.g., daily running percentage)

  • Gauge values (e.g., current temperature)

  • Line chart values (e.g., 60-min average)

  • Text values (e.g., "Machine is running normally")

  • Event indicators

  • HSEQ icons (safety, recycling, pest control)

  • Maintenance status icons

To configure what appears on the marker, see Configuring the POI Marker to display data from widgetsarchived.

Compact and Expanded Modes

Markers have two display modes. Use the Expanded markers checkbox to toggle the Expanded mode or press Show content => Expanded markers on the Replica.

When to use

Compact (default)

A single-row marker with key indicators and icons.

Best when you want a clean overview and the Replica contains many POIs.

Expanded

A larger marker with multiple rows and section labels (for example: Data / Events / HSEQ / Maintenance).

Best for at-a-glance monitoring when you need more context without opening the POI panel.

Portal Markers

Portal markers are a special case. They link a POI to a child Replica and are visually distinguished by the icon on the marker.

Clicking a portal marker presents two options:

  • Go to Replica — navigate into the child replica

  • Show details — view events from the child replica in the right panel without leaving the current view

Portal markers can be shown or hidden using the "Show portals" toggle in View settings.

Visual Indicators on Markers

Dynamic Status Colors

The marker's status bubble automatically changes color based on widget thresholds:

  • If a gauge widget shows a value in the red zone → the marker bubble turns red

  • If in the green zone → the marker stays green

State Indicators

State indicators are configured per measurand and determine how machine state is displayed:

HSEQ Icons

When HSEQ content is added to a POI, icons appear directly on the marker:

  • Multiple icons per POI, arranged neatly

  • Consistent order on marker and in the POI panel (Safety tab)

  • Visible in both compact and expanded modes
